The arts and drafts festival is in its second year. This is a partnership between GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club and Bedford County Parks and Recreation. It originated as a Mother’s Day Shopping Market since it is held Mother’s Day weekend. The vision has always included kids activities, handmade arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, bands and beer and wine sales. It is meant to be a fun, relaxing time at Falling Creek Park for the whole family to enjoy. Last year we not only saw parents with thier kids, the grandparents and other family members and friends were in tow. So join us for a great day of fun and a time to celebrate the Moms, Grandmothers, Aunts and friends that hold the honor of serving in that role.
This year’s event has a couple of fundraisers in the works.
First is we are accepting donations to help support the new Spay/Neuter Clinic to be built at the Bedford County Animal Shelter. This area will be managed by the Community Pet Coalition. We will have donation boxes set up at the Festival for those would like to donate. We will accept donations via credit or debit card too.
Proceeds from the sales of vendor booths and beverages(the drafts portion of this event) will go back to our community though GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club.
So please come out to support two great organizations as they help our community.
